ELM – ENRICHMENT OF LIFE MOVEMENT

ELM is a nonprofit, non-denominational, educational and enrichment program for persons 50 years old and older. Classes are held in the Fall, Winter, and Spring on Tuesdays only.

ELM is operated and staffed primarily by volunteers. It is an independant organization which is housed at First United Methodist Church (FUMC) of Marietta.ELM does not necessarily endorse the information or opinions of instructors in ELM classes and expects students to make their own decisions regarding their beliefs about course content.

ELM reserves the right to require students to meet course entrance requirements (if any) and also reserves the right to exclude students from class(es) for cause.

ELM is not responsible for injuries sustained by ELM participants in connection with ELM activites.

ELM does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, ethnicity or natural origin.

ELM REGISTRATION FEE – ELM is a unique program that has been able to keep the registration fee as low as possible, for classes offered. $35.00 covers 8 Tuesdays and up to 24 classes per person per session.

How Your ELM Fee Is Spent – Your ELM fee helps pay for the following expenses: postage, printing, copying, limited class expenses, office supplies, lunches for 90-100 instructors & volunteers, gifts to FUMC, liability insurance, part-time director and information technology coordinator, and modest travel allowances for board chairman, director, information technology coordinator and treasurer. If you have questions, please direct them to the Board Chairman or Director.

Limited ELM Scholarships – ELM will award a limited number of scholarships to individuals who are unable to pay the $35.00 ELM quarterly registration fee. Please contact Vickie Seitman, Director at 770-429-7850 Ext. 7845 for information regarding ELM registration scholarships. (Scholarships will be offered on an as needed basis).
